On this week's episode of DiWREKtor's Cut we're watching (and listening to) our very own Maddie's favorite movie – Trainspotting! Trainspotting is a 1996 British black comedy drama film directed by Danny Boyle, and starring Ewan McGregor, based on the 1993 novel by Irvine Welsh. The film follows a group of addicts in an economically depressed area of Edinburgh and their passage through life. Often regarded by critics as one of the best movies of the 1990s, Trainspotting received widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike. And the good news for us? It has a really bangin' soundtrack too.
