The "Tech Nation" Audience
The one-hour weekly interview program Tech Nation (TN) is produced out of KQED in San Francisco. It airs on NPR Affiliates domestically and over AFRTS (American Forces Radio and Television Service) to 177 countries globally, among other distribution channels. Multiple podcast streams include Apple, Google, Spotify, Pandora, et al. All topics are welcome however they relate to the impact of science and technology on our lives.
Guest Selection Criteria
The successful guest (and their story) generally meet the following criteria:
- Good human interest appeal- Story relevant to many people, or be of national or global interest- Tech and/or science play some part in the story
- Guest has established credentials to talk about the story
- Guest is able to sustain a compelling interview for 20-30 minutes, if not longer.
Book authors generally can meet these criteria easily.
